Indore: The voting for Lok Sabha election held here on Sunday will be marked for abundant use of Android phones, apps and electronic devices like Global Positioning System. The introduction of 3 Apps, use of 12 QR-coded video links and use of GPS on EVMs carrying vehicles made the voting process easy. The voter turnout mobile application helped in delivering the error-free and real time figures of voting percentage.  In fact, Indore Lok Sabha seat became the nursery for using electronic devices in the state. They were meant for public, election duty officers and Election Commission.

Depending on speed of internet, the application was used abundantly by common men as well top brass engaged in monitoring the elections. For instance, the improved version of ‘Matpratishat’ app was introduced for sector officers. Using the app, the officers fed the figures of polling percentage collected from presiding officers in the app. The app calculated the voting percentage and flashed on Voter Turnout app. Indore district election office prepared a mobile application Vote Indore Vote under the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Practices (SVVEP). The app was meant for common voters, where after downloading the app they can apply for award in six categories.
