Indore: High Court reserves order in Computer Baba case

Tyagi was booked under Section 151 of the CrPC. He had claimed that he had not encroached upon any government and that the district administration had illegally demolished portions of his ashram.

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Indore bench of Madhya Pradesh High Court on Thursday reserved verdict in a case involving self-styled godman Namdev Das Tyagi alias Computer Baba.

Tyagi’s ashram was reportedly demolished and he was detained along with his disciples for obstructing the official works on November 8, 2020. His ashram was demolished as he had encroached upon some government land also and built a structure on it.

Tyagi was booked under Section 151 of the CrPC. He had claimed that he had not encroached upon any government and that the district administration had illegally demolished portions of his ashram.

He had demanded quashing of the case against him and sought compensation.

The court heard all the parties and reserved its order.
