Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Taking a step towards improving urban transport, the city received a significant gift on Thursday — 20 newly constructed, ultra-modern city bus stops equipped with state-of-the-art facilities.
The official inauguration was carried out at the collectorate square by mayor Pushyamitra Bhargav and the chairperson of Atal Indore City Transport Services Ltd (AICTSL).

The new bus stops offer a range of smart facilities, including Passenger Information System (PIS), route maps, emergency contact numbers, CCTV surveillance and mobile charging points, ensuring a safer and more convenient travel experience for commuters.
The newly inaugurated locations include Bombay Hospital, Palasia Square, Collectorate Office, 56 Dukaan (both sides), Samrat Hotel, City Center, Regal Square, Medicine Market, SBI Office, Kapas Bhavan (both sides), Anand Jewellers, Sapna Sangeeta, Bhanwarkuan Square, Vijay Nagar Square (both sides), Radisson Square and the Airport.
Currently, AICTSL operates 350 city buses across the city. With today’s addition, the city takes a firm step toward its goal of creating a more tech-enabled and commuter-friendly public transport system.
Speaking at the event, officials confirmed that AICTSL aims to build 200 new smart bus stops by next year, with today’s 20 forming the first phase of the initiative. The inauguration ceremony was attended by public representatives, senior officials, and local dignitaries.
This development reflects the city’s ongoing commitment to sustainable urban mobility and passenger-centric innovation.
