Indore: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Indore police felicitated female police officers who have excelled in their work during a programme at DRP Line on Friday.

Senior Superintendent of Police Ruchi Vardhan Mishra while addressing the gathering highlighted the role of women in laying foundation of a healthy society.

She further said, “Being a woman and a police officer as well increases our responsibility towards the society. We must be aware regarding our rights and responsibilities. Also we should spread this awareness among the common
people.”

The police officers who were felicitated included ASP Vahnee Singh, ASP (headquarter) Manisha Pathak Soni, CSP Jyoti Umath and police station in-charge Savita Choudhary.

About 20 female officers were felicitated during the programme for serving the people of city with complete commitment and dedication.

The programme was also attended by SP (headquarter) Avdhesh Goswami, SP (east) Mohammad Yusuf Qureshi and SP (west) Suraj Kumar Verma.
