Indore: Daly College staff getting exposed to varied ideas at a 5-day workshop

Indore: Daly College organised a 5-day Staff Self Enrichment Workshop for its teachers from 14th June to 18th June, 2021.

Under this workshop, teachers are taking part virtually in the yoga session from 7.00 am to 8.00 am daily.

In the afternoon sessions, workshops are being organised by various eminent professionals on different topics.

Under ‘Me to We 7.0’ workshop, a soul- searching discourse on, ‘Connecting with your higher self’ was organised. Siddhartha Krishna, an eminent Advaita Vedanta and yoga scholar & teacher from the Patanjala Yoga Centre in Rishikesh introduced a practice around the idea of “Self-awareness through the five koshas (layers of consciousness).”

His profound message on yoga not as a mere exercise but as a way to keep still while our body is still active, the joy one experiences when one discovers his/ her true nature, the conceptualisation of the term Kashi as “taking a U-turn to your origin or inner self” embarked all on a journey of self-discovery. Having a correct posture is vital in meditation as it increases the flexibility of the body and stability of mind and this was discussed through demonstration. Through his talk on Anamaya Kosha, Krishna helped the attendees to find a state of pure awareness about physical sheath.

Mir Ranjan Negi, who is an Indian sports icon shared insight on the topic ‘Our own energy creates our environment’.

Negi shared lessons learnt from his father on focus and hard work. He elaborated on how the human mind is a fascinating computer and the right kind software must be downloaded for optimum success.

Organic food & Health expert, Dr Khader Vali, expressed his views on ‘Food Awareness’. He stressed the use of organic and vegetarian food. He urged the attendees to stop consumption of artificial milk. He strongly agreed that a mother should feed her child for nine months after birth and avoid giving cow milk, because the cow milk is good for her calf, not for a human child.

Dr Sandeep Atre expressed his views on ‘Self-Management’. He also expressed his views on managing the reactionary-roots and gave the various interesting concepts.
