Indore: One more case of Congress leader misbehaving with a policeman came to light on Monday when City Congress' spokesperson Sunny Rajpal manhandled a head constable to enter review meeting of PWD Department held by minister Sajjan Singh Verma at Residency Kothi.
Sunny, who was trying to enter review meeting hall, was stopped by duty constable Atal Bihari Sharma. After being stopped from entering room, Sunny misbehaved with the cop and even manhandled him.
He also shouted at the constable by saying that he is spokesperson of the City Congress. Sunny managed to enter the room by pushing the constable.
Later, CSP Jyoti Umath intervened and controlled the situation while telling the errant Congress leader that the constable was instructed to stop people from entering the room except the government officials and media persons.
The incident of misbehaviour with the constable went viral on social media after which the Congress' spokesperson termed the incident 'not serious one'.
"I was in the meeting and had gone to loo. When I returned, the cop on duty stopped me. I gave him my introduction and he let me go inside," said Rajpal. Contd. on P10
Meanwhile, the CSP said that Rajpal had misbehaved with the duty constable. "We have informed about the incident to our senior officials. We will take action against Rajpal if the cop lodges complaint," she said.
'It was not a personal issue, I don't want to complain' Head Constable Atal Bihari said that he doesn't have any personal grudge against anyone. "It was a dispute while on duty and I don't want to lodge complaint against anyone," Sharma.
