Indore (Madhya Pradesh): With no big party leader coming to campaign for him, Congress mayoral candidate Sanjay Shukla put all his efforts to woo the voters on the last day of campaigning on Monday.

He held a road show in various parts of the city with his wife Anjali Shukla and also met people from all walks of life including handcart pullers, traders, businessmen, women, and others during the course of the day.

While campaigning, Shukla targeted the Chief Minister for taking our roadshow in the city and said, “The Chief Minister fears that BJP is going to lose that is why he has come to the city for the third time. However, he doesn’t have anything new to promise due to which he made all the old promises which he has been making for years but hasn't fulfilled a single one.”

Shukla said that the Chief Minister once again 'threatened' the people by saying that not electing a BJP mayor would result in derailing the city's development.

“The Cchief Minister is afraid of the defeat of BJP’s candidate due to which he is threatening people. I want to appeal to the people to elect the one who serves the citizens in tough times. I know how to bring funds for development and how to develop the city,” Shukla said.

The Congress mayoral candidate also raised questions over the videos of Manoj Muntashir and Nitish Bharadwaj in support of BJP candidate and said that people should not believe these outsiders trying to fool the people but must support their own candidate.

Meanwhile, Shukla’s wife Anjali also held various meetings in different constituencies seeking support for her husband in the elections.

Organisation in-charge Chandra Prabhash Shekhar too appealed to the activists to be vigilant in their concerned wards to ensure a win of the party’s candidate.
