The Central Goods and Service Tax department has urged tax payers to pay advance tax by March 31. Some traders had complained that they are getting frequent phone calls from CGST department to pay the advance tax. On Tuesday, a delegation of Malwa Chamber of Commerce and Industry met joint commissioner of CGST department Virendra Jain. The delegation members told him that phone calls are creating panic among businessmen specially those who are facing financial constraints.
After meeting chamber president Ajit Singh Narang said meeting was held in amicable atmosphere. Jain stated that department is just urging the tax payers to pay the advance tax before March 31. Narang said his assurance will help automobile traders who are facing financial constraints. The other members of the delegation who met Jain were Chamber secretaries Ishwar Baheti, Suresh Hariyani and consultant Dr SL Sharma.
