Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A letter stating BJP Corporator Jeetu Yadav's resignation from the position of member of Indore's Mayor-in-Council (MiC) has surfaced on social media on Saturday. Yadav's purported resignation letter was written to Madhya Pradesh BJP chief VD Sharma.

Though Indore BJP president Gaurav Randive said that he has not received any form of resignation letter or mail from Yadav.

According to insider sources, the BJP is mulling to terminate Jeetu Yadav from the party.

The alleged resignation came following Yadav's dispute with another BJP corporator, Kamlesh Kalra.

The viral resignation letter on social media reads,

"I am a dedicated and disciplined soldier of the BJP. I, my family, and my entire community of Scheduled Caste have an unbreakable bond with the party.

A few days ago, an attempt was made to defame the party by dragging my name into the tragic incident that happened with the family of a fellow corporator of the party in Indore.

"I myself had put my side in this matter with all the facts before the honourable city president and demanded action against the accused.

Respected Sir, I do not want the party to face any uncomfortable situation because of me, so until I am proven innocent in this entire matter, I resign from the primary membership of the party and MIC. I am confident that the party will not let injustice happen to me."

Notably, the dispute gained steam after a leaked audio of the duo's phone conversation went viral on social media. In the audio, Yadav can be heard using a threatening tone with colleague Kamlesh Kalra.

When Kalra tried to pacify him, saying, "We both belong to the same sangathan (party)," Yadav rebuked, "Sangathan gaya chulhe mein."

Kalra has also accused Yadav of sending goons to his residence and attacking his family members. In the audio, Kalra can be heard requesting Yadav to call back his goons, saying his elderly mother is feeling uncomfortable.
