Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The convocation ceremony of Bhoj University is going to be held on August 10, where students will be wearing Malvi turbans and jackets. The university will rent the initiation dresses from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya for their ceremony. The proposal regarding this has already been sent to DAVV University but the consent is yet to come. Although the date for the initiation has already been decided according to instructions from the Raj Bhavan, the proposal of renting 250 jackets and Malvi turbans is still to be approved by DAVV.
The university will be celebrating its convocation ceremony after a gap of two years due to the pandemic. This is the first time that Bhoj University is going to conduct its convocation in an Indian outfit. This dress will be worn by Chancellor Mangubhai Patel, vice-chancellor Jayant Sonavkar, executive council members, deans, teachers and students. Vice-chancellor Sonavkar informed Free Press that the celebrations of the 2019-’20 and 2020-’21 batches will be conducted and the degrees will be awarded to the students of MA, M.Com, M.Sc, B.A., B.Com, B.Sc, MBA and MSW, B.J. and Bachelor of Library Science. Around 200 students will attend the function.
