Indore: Two persons were booked for reportedly duping a woman of Rs 35 lakh in Kanadiya area on Saturday. The accused had taken money saying that they will repay the amount within three months but they did not do it. Rather, they threatened the woman.

According to Kanadiya police station staff, Sapna Singh Solanki of Karuna Sagar Township lodged a complaint that her two relatives Sanjay David and his wife Neetu David of Udaipur, Rajasthan, had taken Rs 35 lakh from her. They assured her to repay money in three months.

When she asked for money, they refused. Few months later, when she asked again, they refused to repay and also threatened her with dire consequences when she forced them to repay the amount. Finally, she had to lodge a complaint with police. A case under Section 420 of IPC was registered against the accused and police started an investigation into the case.
