Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A 25-year-old B-Tech student allegedly died by suicide by hanging himself at his residence in the Azad Nagar police station area on Friday. The reason behind the extreme step remains unclear, as no suicide note was recovered from the scene.

The deceased was identified as Rahul Singh Rawat, a native of Alirajpur and a resident of Musakhedi. He was pursuing his B-Tech degree and also preparing for competitive exams. Rahul lived with his brother, who had gone to their village for a wedding.

On Friday night, when Rahul did not respond to phone calls, his brother grew concerned and asked a friend to check on him. The friend found the door locked and, upon peering through a window, discovered Rahul hanging. The police are investigating the matter.

Upset over cousin, class 7 girl ends life

In a tragic incident, a 13-year-old girl allegedly died by suicide by hanging herself at her home in Rukmani Nagar under the Aerodrome police station limits on Friday. The reason behind the incident remains unknown.

The deceased was identified as Anushka Gupta, a Class 7 student. According to police, her brother returned from coaching and found the room locked. When she did not respond, he forced open the door and found her hanging.

Additional DCP (Zone-1) Alok Kumar Sharma said that a suicide note was recovered from her place, in which she mentioned that she was upset over something said by her maternal cousin. She further wrote that he should not have said such things.
