Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A major traffic jam that occurred in Indore on Friday, prompted the district administration to swing into action on Saturday to manage and ease the traffic situation.

According to information, the traffic occurred at Bypass and AB Road, putting the entire vehicular movement to a halt.

Acting on the instructions of Collector Asheesh Singh, officers from the district administration, police, traffic police, home guard, National Highway Authority, and related departments have been actively working since morning.

Collector reviews traffic personally

Collector Singh is personally reviewing the situation and ensuring the availability of necessary resources and arrangements. He has directed officials to ensure that traffic remains smooth despite the rains, and that citizens face minimum inconvenience.

ADM Roshan Rai has been deployed with a full team at the Arjun Baroda area and is overseeing traffic control efforts there.

SDM Ajay Shukla is monitoring the Devguradia area, while SDM Rakesh Parmar is managing arrangements in the Manpur area. Officers and staff from the concerned departments are also diverting heavy vehicles to alternative routes to reduce pressure on the main roads.

Thanks to the swift response by the administration and effective inter-departmental coordination, traffic on the Bypass is gradually returning to normal.
