Indore (Madhya Pradesh): So far we have seen youngsters, traffic volunteers and traffic management staff on the road spreading awareness among citizens for following the traffic rules. On Friday, the scenario changed and an eight-year-old boy with a mike in one hand and a placard in the other joined traffic police in their drive for traffic awareness.
Being part of the "Traffic Management Mitra” drive of the traffic police under the Subedar Ashok Kumar Bhargava and team, Aditya Tiwari along with his mother Sangeeta Tiwari spread awareness among commuters at Bhawarkua Square. The little boy advised them to follow the traffic rules under the "Niyantrit Gati – Surakshit Jeewan" campaign, which was appreciated by the drivers.
At Vijay Nagar intersection, inspector Mahendra Singh Mandloi and the team appealed to the people to drive within speed limit. Such appeals were made by several other traffic police teams.
Officials said that most of the deaths in road accidents are due to over-speeding. Efforts were made to make people aware under the campaign with hoardings/posters containing awareness messages.
