Indore: 70-Year-Old Woman Robbed Of Gold Chain, Culprit Arrested

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A man was arrested in connection with robbing an elderly woman of her gold chain in Annapurna area on Wednesday.

The accused had changed his clothes after moving a few kilometers from the spot to mislead the police. A search is on for his accomplice.

According to the police, a 70-year-old woman was robbed by two bikers in the Nemi Nagar area on February 19.

A case was registered under the relevant section of the complaint of the woman and a team was constituted for the search of the accused. The police claimed that they had to check more than 500 CCTVs to identify the accused.

In the Banganga area, the accused were seen in different dresses but the police continued their investigation and managed to arrest one of the accused named Bhagwat Rajput, a resident of Kannod in Dewas district and recovered a gold chain and the bike used in the crime from his possession. He informed the police that he and his aide Ankit of UP had committed the robbery.

The police are gathering information about Ankit and efforts are being made to arrest him.
