Indore: About 20,000 people visited the two-day long 32nd rose show organised by Malwa Rose Society, which concluded on Sunday. It was organised at Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya RNT Marg campus. About 300 school students took part in a painting competition organised on rose theme. Society president Dr Deo Patodi said winners of flower decoration and painting contest were felicitated by DAVV vice chancellor Dr Narendra Dhakad and former dean of agriculture college Dr VN Shroff.

Society secretary Dr Arun Saraf said 3,800 roses of more than 370 varieties were exhibited at rose show. He added that all nine colours of roses were on display. Dr Patodi said MGM Medical college team won the first prize in garden competition, Mayank Mishra won in terrace garden competition, Force Motors Pithampur won in small garden decoration category and best small landscape award was given to Sunita Baheti. Similarly, Surya Bhavsar, Arna Shrimali, Bhavya gupta and Nikhil Kashyap won prizes in respective categories of painting competition. About 15 stalls selling saplings, gardening tools, organic manure, seeds and flower pots were set up at the venue.
