Post Covid-19 outbreak the first in-person three-day Model United Nations (MUN) was inaugurated at Daly College Indore on Friday.
About 200 student delegates from fifteen schools across the country are participating in DCMUN-2022.
In the keynote address, chief guest IFS officer (Retd) Anil Trigunayat discussed the word ‘Yuemanzekui' The MUN is themed on the Chinese word Yuemanzekui, which means ‘the moon waxes only to wane’.
Trigunayat along with school principal Dr Gunmeet Bindra handed over the gavels to the executive board members, and the secretary general declared the DCMUN-2022 open.
Participants discussed and debated various profound, research-based issues including rehabilitation of refugees, safeguarding of camps from drugs and violence as well as human rights.
Following were the committees of discussions: Council for Industry Management and Forecasting; Committee for Territory Disputes and Order; Council for Refugee Relief and Humanitarian Assistance; Economic and Financial Committee; Council for Energy and Development; and United States Emergency Council.
