IMC to paste notices on 50 dilapidated buildings

Indore : Keeping in view of approaching Anant Chaturdashi processions, the IMC is planning to paste notice on at least 50 dilapidated building, identified by the civic body, on the procession route. The initiative is taken as a precautionary measure for safety of participants and viewers. Senior officials of the IMC said that the zonal inspector would also be present along with a team near the buildings. As per information, the IMC officials have identified dangerous houses and soon notices would be hung on them. It was informed that the identified houses are in a poor state and would be grounded any time. Sources said that initially the IMC was in the process to demolish the houses but due to legal clashes between the owner and the tenants, some couldn’t be demolished and are now marked as dilapidated. Now, the IMC is planning to paste the notices before Ananth Chaturdashi.
