Indore (Madhya Pradesh): As the financial year 2024-25 draws to a close, Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) reminded taxpayers in Indore that the last date for payment of outstanding taxes is March 31 (Today). To assist residents in clearing their dues, the city’s tax collection offices will remain open late into the night.

Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargav, municipal commissioner Shivam Verma and revenue in-charge Niranjan Singh Chauhan announced that all cash counters at the revenue headquarters, registrar office (collector office complex), and revenue branches in zones 01 to 22 will operate late on the final day to ensure smooth processing of property tax, water tax and garbage management fees.

In a joint statement, the officials appealed to taxpayers to complete their payments by Monday to avoid losing out on exemptions available under current rules. Property owners, particularly those with residential properties, are urged to make their payments on time to avail of tax exemptions that will no longer be valid after March 31.

Bhargav emphasised the importance of timely tax payments in contributing to the city’s development. "Paying taxes is not just a civic duty but also a contribution to the betterment of the city. We encourage all residents to make use of the extended hours and complete their payments before the deadline," he said.
