IMC employees sacrifice holiday to support Oct 2 cleanliness campaign

Indore : The IMC (Indore Municipal Corportaion) on Thursday would initiate special cleaning drive in various zones of the city. It was said that the corporation employees had to sacrifice the Government holiday for making the much-awaited event a success.

It was said that soon after the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call to the nation in his Independence Day speech asking the countrymen to participate in cleanliness drive on October 2. It was found that soon after the speech; the municipal chiefs have initiated a special cleanliness drive in various city zones. Now, a new twist in the same sequence could be seen today; as the corporation would allegedly seek active participation of residents of the locality.

If sources are to be believed than the IMC begwigs would also participate in the special cleaning drive. It was informed that apart from the cleaning drive of the IMC; various government and other institutions would also take part in the drive and would clean their premise and surrounding areas.
