Badwani : As the wedding season kicks in, all of the district’s S.D.M.s and Tehsildaars will be making sure that all the firecrackers used are licensed. All firecrackers have to be made and sold only with license. All defaulters involved in illegal making or selling will be prosecuted as instructed by Zila Panchayat’s C.E.O., Ajay Gupta in the time-limit meeting on Monday.
He said that the recent firecracker making accident in the state caused the death of many, thus keeping in mind the extreme heat in the area, make-sell of firecrackers will be strictly controlled. In the meeting, he also instructed the P.H.E. department to re count the hand pumps and drinking water distribution facilities and the repair of broken hand pumps.
Also, the hand pumps which have gone dry due to lowering ground water level should be repaired by increasing the rising pipe. Similarly, he also addressed health and veterinary depts. to be vigilant as many health problems crop up in the summers.
