High on enthusiasm, people vote in large numbers in Badnawar

In the elections being held after about 7 years, there was great enthusiasm among the youth. For the first time, youth openly participated in the election campaign.

Badnawar (Madhya Pradesh): In the first phase of three-tier panchayat elections, voting was held from 7 am for the election of 89-gram panchayats, 25 janpad panchayat members and four district panchayat members in Badnawar block of Dhar district. Though the voting time was 3 pm. However, a large number of voters thronged the polling station during the last hour and as a result, the authority extended the polling hours so that every voter present at the polling station could cast their vote.

In the elections being held after about 7 years, there was great enthusiasm among the youth. For the first time, youth openly participated in the election campaign. This time as many as 1,55,986 voters will elect 89 sarpanch, 1,480 panch and janpad and district panchayat representatives. For this, 286 polling stations have been set up. Five polling personnel are deployed at each polling station to conduct the election process. A large number of other employees and security personnel have been deployed to assist them. This time 937 panchs have already been elected unopposed. The number of male voters is 77,142 and the number of women voters is 78,841.

Under the guidance of SDM Virendra Katare and returning officer and tehsildar Ajmer Singh Gaur, all arrangements have been made for the election process at all 286 polling stations. Many new and old candidates of Congress and BJP are trying their luck in the elections. The counting of votes for the election of Panch and Sarpanch will begin in the evening itself.
