Guna (Madhya Pradesh): Three people were seriously injured in a dispute between an independent candidate and one of the party's candidates during the municipal elections here.
Reportedly, there was an altercation between the supporters of a party candidate and an independent candidate in ward number 1 of Nanakhedi, Guna at Wednesday midnight which snowballed into a major group clash.
According to the supporters of an Independent candidate, when they went to Cantt police station to lodge an FIR, then instead of arresting the accused, cops made a case against them and closed them in a lock-up.
To protest against this discrimination, Congress Committee president HarishankarVijayvarg and his supporters staged a protest at the police station premises.
Later, Cantt Police registered a case after the statement of complainant Rakesh Ramveer Yadav, Gendalal Kushwaha, Raju Kushwaha, Ram Singh Kushwaha, and Ashok Kushwaha. All the injured have been admitted to the local district hospital.
