Guna (Madhya Pradesh): The police have arrested father-in-law Jalaluddin Qureshi, mother-in-law Nisha Qureshi, husband Wasim Qureshi and brother-in-law Naeem Qureshi of Kirti Jain who had committed suicide on Saturday night due to mental and physical stress. The accused are residents of Colonelganj.
The relatives of deceased told police that Waseem Qureshi seduced Kirti and married her a year back. Both of them started living out of Guna. A daughter was also born to them. The couple settled in Guna a few days back.
It was then Wasim and his family members started torturing her mentally and physically for dowry. Her family gave her some dowry too recently but her in-laws were not satisfied.
Kirti was fed up and committed suicide by consuming poison. Her in-laws first took her to a private hospital, from where she was sent to district hospital where Kirti died during treatment. Keeping in view, the police force has been deployed in the area.
