Guna (Madhya Pradesh): Congress veteran leader and ex-general secretary Digvijay Singh's brother and Chachoda MLA Laxman Singh has attacked BJP over the tribal issue. He added that just a few days back, tribal women were being set on fire by a group of people in Guna district which is condemnable.

He went on to add that BJP regional leaders provide support and strengthen the hands of hooligans and mafias. These leaders should be removed with immediate effect. He accused the BJP of only talking about the welfare of tribals to get their votes without actually doing anything for them at the grassroots levels while Congress, on the other hand, was committed to the development of the community. Hitting out at BJP for neglecting tribal people, he told them they should concentrate on the welfare of the tribal community. Congress will raise the issue of the rights of tribal people in the Assembly and demand the resignation of regional leaders for lending support to the accused.
