Ganjbasoda (Madhya Pradesh): The program of the bathing journey of Lord Jagdish Swami in Ganjbasoda was taken out from Naulakhi Betwa Ghat on Friday. The tradition that has been going on for many years is the centre of faith for the people.

The idols of Lord Jagadish Swami, Balabhadra and Goddess Subhadra, who are seated in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple, were brought from the sanctum sanctorum and seated on the chariot and the Rath Yatra was taken out with great pomp with bands. People welcomed the Rath Yatra and raised slogans of cheer.

The temple priests and Brahmins worshipped the Lord with Veda mantras and bathed the Lord with an earthen pot with a thousand holes. The Lord falls ill for 15 days due to heatstroke and the doors of the temple are closed for 15 days. There is a tradition of wearing only white clothes to Lord Jagdish during this time. A large number of devotees were present on the occasion of Rath Yatra.
