Ratlam (Madhya Pradesh): On the final day of campaigning ahead of the municipal elections in Ratlam, former Chief Minister Kamal Nath campaigned for party mayor and corporator candidates in the town. The state party chief sought voters' support for party candidates in the three-hour-long marathon road show.
During the event, Congress leader Kantilal Bhuria, state youth Congress president Vikrant Bhuria along with Congress candidate Mayank Jaat were present along with the state Congress president Kamal Nath.
Nath, who arrived in Ratlam on the last day of the election campaign, held a meeting with intellectuals before the road show and sought a vision for development of the town and appealed to vote for the future of Ratlam.
Nath also addressed the general meeting at the MLA Auditorium here. After this, in the marathon road show that lasted for 3 hours in the city, Congress mayor Mayank Jat and councillor candidates demanded votes in support of the candidates.
Meanwhile, addressing the media persons here, Nath attacked BJP and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Nath said that in the state, BJP has created a system of corruption from the bottom to the ministry. When I became the Chief Minister, I was handed over a state full of scams.
Regarding the election of Ratlam municipal corporation, Kamal Nath said that Ratlam gave country from the corporator to the Prime Minister and in reply, what town has got we all know. But it is sad to see the condition of Ratlam. Nath has appealed to the people of the city to choose the future of Ratlam.
On the question of not casting his vote, Kamal Nath said that his village does not come under the municipal corporation area. Everyone is my own in my village. Can't discriminate with anyone, that's why didn't vote.
