Indore : Family members of a 26-year-old Ritesh, who committed suicide by hanging himself in Vijay Nagar area, have to face trouble due to the ongoing dispute between the Forensic Medicine and Anatomy Department of MGM Medical College on Wednesday as they didn’t embalm the dead body.
Even after many requests, the doctors refused to embalm the body and made an excuse of new law that Forensic officials will not embalm the body after post mortem. Family members had to take the body for 2000 kilometres by road as the flight officials refused to take in-embalmed body.
According to Alex, one of the family friends of Ritesh, said that he committed suicide by hanging himself from ceiling at his rented accommodation in Ram Nagar on Wednesday.
“Ritesh committed suicide in front of her 7 months daughter as her wife had gone to her work. The incident was discovered only when she returned back. Ritesh was employed as a plumber in Indore from last 7-8 years and he basically belongs to Kerala,” he said adding “We have to take the body for more than 2000 kilometres and it takes around 30 hours. But, the insensitive doctors didn’t embalm the body due to which we couldn’t fly it Kerala.”
It is to be noted that doctors of Forensic Medicine Department and Anatomy Department have been blaming each other for embalming the body of the patient.Even after directions of the College administration, the officials are not following the orders and creating trouble for the kin of deceased.
