Kukshi (Dhar, Madhya Pradesh): The falling level of Narmada river water level has given rise to drinking water shortage in Kukshi tehsil. Several municipal wards have not received drinking water in last 5 days. This has caused resentment among residents.

To provide drinking water from Narmada river to Kukshi, former Deputy Chief Minister late Jamuna Devi sat on hunger strike to seek approval for scheme to provide drinking water to people.
