Dhar: District administration asks traders, religious leaders, medical staff in Kukshi to help contain Covid

Only vaccinated shopkeepers will be able to open shops from Thursday.

Kukshi (Dhar district, Madhya Pradesh): District administration conducted a meeting of traders, religious leaders and medical staff here on Tuesday to discuss ways and means to contain Covid-19.

At the meeting, SDM Vivek Kumar said that it is necessary to vaccinate all the shopkeepers of Kukshi. The shopkeepers vaccinated by Wednesday evening will be able to open shops on Thursday. Shopkeepers who have not been vaccinated have been told to contact Block Medical Officer by Wednesday evening for inoculation.

He said three mobile vehicles of the health department will visit every shop on Alirajpur Road, Vijay Stambh Square, Nariman Point areas.

SDM Kumar said elected representatives should work to generate awareness about vaccination among people. He said one needs take special care for almost a week to prevent infection.

People without masks and not maintaining social distance should not be allowed to enter shops. It was discussed about imposing a complete curfew on the day of weekly markets. He further said sealed shops will be opened after 72 hours.

Tehsildar Sunil Kumar Dawar, police station incharge Kamal Gehlot, chief municipal officer Kailash Karma were present in the meeting along with traders and religious gurus and medical staff.

The work done by administration during the corona curfew was appreciated by all the traders in the end and tehsildar Sunil Kumar Dawar proposed the vote of thanks.
