Dhar (Madhya Pradesh): Collector and district election officer Pankaj Jain reached the polling booth in Gandhwani area along with superintendent of police Aditya Pratap Singh on Thursday. There he appealed to voters to exercise their franchise fearlessly. He inspected the arrangements of polling stations at villages Pipaliya, Kharbardi, Dhamakhedi and others.
He informed that all the preparations for the second phase of the three-tier elections are complete. Voting will be held from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm and the counting of votes will take place at the polling station immediately after the polling ends.
Tight security arrangements have been made for peaceful conduct of polls. For this, polling teams have left for respective polling stations on Thursday. On July 1, around 4, 32, 170 voters of Gandhwani, Umarban, Dharampuri and Manawar of the district will be electing their government. Informed SDM, Manawar Bhupendra Rawat.
In total, 807 polling stations have been set up in 480 villages. Along with this, 889 polling teams and 72 sector officers will be involved in the polling.
