Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The Dawoodi Bohra community celebrated Eid-ul-Adha with joy and devotion on Friday. The day began with early morning Fajr prayers, followed by special Eid Khutbah and congregational prayers at various mosques and community centres across the city.

According to community media representatives Mazhar Hussain Sethjiwala and Burhanuddin Shakruwala, large numbers of community members attended the prayers held at Saifee Nagar, Siyaganj, New Saifee Nagar, Bohra Bakhal, Chhawani, Badri Bagh, Masekin Sofia, Hasanji Nagar, Noorani Nagar and Ammar Nagar.

After prayers, a festive atmosphere spread across the community as members exchanged greetings and participated in joyful gatherings. Special happiness was seen among families whose loved ones are currently on the Hajj pilgrimage.

Nine-day Muharram Ashara Mubaraka sermons

Community leader His Holiness Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin is scheduled to deliver the nine-day Muharram Ashara Mubaraka sermons in Chennai this year, further adding to the spiritual significance of the occasion for the community.

The celebration was marked by unity, brotherhood and gratitude, reflecting the true essence of Eid-ul-Adha. Community members expressed their happiness and prayed for peace, prosperity and well-being for all.
