Indore: DAVV employees had a heated argument with school of life sciences head Suresh Chand when they learnt that he was planning to suspend two peons for negligence in duty.

On learning about the protest, incharge Vice Chancellor Rajkamal reached at the department and tried to pacify the enraged employees but to no avail. Employees wanted a written assurance that no peon would be held accountable for unhygienic conditions of animal house operated by the department but neither the incharge VC nor the HOD gave such assurance.

The duo told the employees that a committee is probing into the matter and action would hinge on its report. Till late evening the protest continued and no solution could be reached upon.
