Dhar (Madhya Pradesh): The Congress party's two-day Nav Sankalp camp began in Mandu on Monday, featuring 66 MLAs and various subject experts. The event commenced with flag hoisting and the national anthem at 10 am, where Congress Party state president Jeetu Patwari and Leader of Opposition (LoP) Umang Singhar were welcomed by tribal artists with traditional dance.

Rahul Gandhi, addressing the MLAs virtually, criticised the current economic situation, stating, "India's economy is in the hands of a few industrialists. If Congress forms the government, we will conduct a caste census."

Former Chief Minister Kamal Nath joined the camp virtually and discussed the state's economic condition. Patwari stated, "New district presidents will be appointed, and we will work together for the 2028 assembly elections. The Congress party will make a strong ground hold."

Kamal Nath noted the challenges facing youth and farmers, while Vivek Tankha spoke about the misuse of investigation agencies. The camp included motivational sessions with speakers like Sonu Sharma and Bhagwandev Israni. The second day will feature more addresses from senior leaders.

Singhar emphasised unity, saying, "We will leave factionalism behind and work together. Our focus is on water, forest, land, and respect for all." He added that employment for youth and resources for farmers is a priority.

Harish Chaudhary, Congress in-charge, highlighted the importance of social media and AI in upcoming elections. He praised Rahul Gandhi's idea of a caste census as a significant contribution.

First day of the Congress camp featured several key sessions. Motivational speaker Sonu Sharma addressed MLAs on leadership and organisational unity at 11 am. At noon, Rajya Sabha MP Vivek Tankha discussed constitutional measures against fake cases and misuse of investigative agencies.

Pawan Kheda then shared media management strategies for presenting Congress's ideology. Former principal secretary Bhagwandev Israni outlined tactics for strategically attacking the ruling party using RTI and audit reports. Group discussions among MLAs took place from 3 to 4 pm, focusing on various topics. The day concluded with a strategic session on the 2028 elections, potentially featuring a virtual address from Rahul Gandhi.
