Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Wednesday inaugurated the newly constructed ‘Sneh Dham’— a senior citizen housing project costing ₹18 crore. The event, held at Star Square also marked the inauguration and laying of foundation stones of various development projects totalling over ₹565 crore.

Speaking on the occasion, Yadav emphasised Indore’s leadership in not just cleanliness but also social innovation and public welfare.

“Sneh Dham is a much-needed initiative in today's time when children have to move out for jobs, leaving their parents behind alone. This project is a step toward offering them secure and dignified living,” he said.

The six-storey Sneh Dham houses 32 fully equipped flats, offering amenities such as a spiritual library, two lifts, 24x7 electricity and water, geysers, study tables, sofas, TVs, refrigerators, microwaves, and in-room dining services on call. The project combines social security with residential comfort, reflecting the state’s respect and responsibility towards its senior citizens.

During the event, the CM inaugurated development works worth ₹90 crore and laid the foundation for new projects amounting to ₹476 crore.
