Class 12 Student Hospitalised After Consuming Phenyl In Madhya Pradesh's Sailana

The victim is a resident of Khirpur Kelkachh and was brought to Sailana Hospital by her sister after she consumed the phenyl.

Sailana (Madhya Pradesh): Yet another case of 'poison consumption was reported in Madhya Pradesh, where a minor student from Sandipani Government Model Higher Secondary School in Sailana district was hospitalised after consuming phenyl.

According to information, the girl is a 12th grader and is out of danger at present.

The victim is a resident of Khirpur Kelkachh and was brought to Sailana Hospital by her sister after she consumed the phenyl.

Her elder sister is a worker at the same school where the minor studies. After receiving first aid, she was referred to Ratlam for further treatment.

Police orders investigation

As the news of the incident spread on social media platforms, SDO Manish Jain sent tehsildar Kulbhushan Sharma to the spot to investigate the matter.

During the inquiry, ASI and head constable Narendra Jhala recorded statements of the victim and her family. She revealed that she ingested phenyl out of fear from her family members.

Similarly, another student of class XII of the same school was also hospitalised after suffering from severe stomach ache. Two teachers from the institution accompanied her for medical assistance.

After receiving the first aid, she was relieved by the doctors and her family members took her home.
