Indore: Common entrance test ( CET)- 2014 for admission in professional courses offered by the Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya ( DAVV) teaching departments would be conducted on May 29. The date was finalised in a meeting of CET organising committee chaired by Vice Chancellor Prof DP Singh on Thursday.

“ We have decided the entire schedule for the CET right from sale of application forms to test and then counseling dates,” CET organising committee coordinator Akhilesh Singh said.As per the schedule, the sale of application forms will begin on April 10 and continue till May 20.

May 20 is the last date for submission of forms. The test will be held on May 29 and counseling would begin on June 19.“ Application forms could be downloaded online. The cost of form is Rs 1000,” said Singh.

The CET is a national level entrance test for admissions in professional courses offered by departments of the DAVV. The test would be held for 30 courses, including 12 undergraduate courses, at seven cities – Indore, Allahabad, Bhopal, Delhi, Gwalior, Kota and Raipur.

The departments that participate in the CET including Institute of Management Studies ( IMS), International Institute of Professional Studies ( IIPS), School of Commerce, School of Economics, School of Pharmacy, Electronic Multimedia Research Centre, School of Journalism and Mass Communication and School of Law.

Departments other then these would conduct departmental level exams for admissions in traditional courses.A total of 1785 seats are filled through CET in the DAVV.
