BSNL to start hot-spots at 7 locations in city by March

Indore : Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced to start hot-spots at 6 locations in the city by March this year. This will help in giving faster internet.

This announcement was made by CMD of BSNL Anupam Shrivastva here on Monday in a meeting organised with the MPs of the state. At least 13 MPs and 4 representatives of the MPs attended the meeting, which was chaired by local MP and Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan. The meeting of this kind is called on every 5 years to seek suggestions from the MPs. The hot-spots will be started at Khajrana Mandir, Airport, Rajwada, MY Hospital, C-21 Mall and 56 shops. The CMD said that extending mobile phone service and making technological changes in the 3G technology enabled BTS would be installed at 40 locations in the city.

In order to remove the coverage problem of the city, the BTS would be installed at 55 new locations. After the move the number of BTS will go from 140 to 195.

However, on the sideline of the meeting Shrivastava told media that we are offering the speed of the internet as what is prescribed for 2G. Talking about the BSNL he does admit that the PSU telecom lost much more market share from 2006 to 2012. But later we recover the ground. He proudly inform that in the year 2014-15 BSNL earn the operating profit of Rs 6672 cr. Free calling in night is helping the company.

A seprate duct would be created at the time of construction of the roads and bridges at national as well state highway. This help in passing the important electric and telecom cables and the telecoms would not be need to digging the roads for the laying of the cables.
