Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A horrifying accident was reported in Madhya Pradesh's Dewas on Thursday, when a speeding magic vehicle hit a beggar and dragged him for about 500 metres on the road. The beggar died within minutes.

Commuters tried to chase the accused driver, however he managed to escape.

The vehicle was going at high speed from Indore near Chamunda Complex on AB Road when the accident happened.

Eyewitnesses said that after hitting the beggar, the driver entered Anand Bagh with the vehicle. When the beggar's body fell down after being dragged for about 500 metres, he was alive, taking his last breath. The victim died within a few minutes. Commuters tried to catch the accused driver, but he sped away.

Police were informed, and a team of cops reached the spot. They took away the body and statements of the commuters. The team is currently scanning the CCTV footage closely to understand the events and identify the driver.

Several accidents have been reported at the busy AB road due to poor traffic management. Commuters, too, have been seen driving arbitrarily on main roads, leading to chaos and increasing the risk of accidents.
