Indore : A long wait for nearly 700 students of BA course, who are taking their third semester classes, for their first semester exam results is finally over, nearly nine months after their exams concluded.
Never before did students of conventional courses have to wait so long for their results in DAVV.
The exams of conventional undergraduate course were held in December and the results of most of the students were announced in April, but the results of nearly 700 students were withheld citing technical issues.
The aggrieved students lodged complaint with the university many a time but to no avail. When the second semester exams neared, the students were allowed to take the exams on an undertaking that their second semester exams should be made null and void if they failed in the first semester exams.
The technical issues with the first semester exams could not be resolved despite the passing of four months from the declaration of the exams, until Ashutosh Mishra assumed charge as acting vice-chancellor and took the matter on priority.
Mishra built up pressure on the Evaluation Centre to announce the pending BA semester results without much ado. His efforts yielded fruit and the results are out now. But a nine months delay is unexplainable.
The Evaluation Centre officers says the results of the first semester got delayed as they got busy in churning out results of the final semester students of UG courses so that they could apply for admission in the postgraduate courses.
