4 youths stabbed by 2 miscreants

Indore : Four youths were stabbed by two unidentified bike-borne miscreants on Sunday night. Police registered a case and are investigating further.

According to Pardeshipura police, the incidents took place when Vijay alias Vikky along with his friend Suraj of Kulkarni ka Bhatta was out to take a walk near his house after dinner when two miscreants approached them and demanded valuables from them. The accused also attacked them. On learning about the incident, the kin along with police reached the scene and rushed them to hospital where doctors state that Vikky was critical.

The police said that the case seems to be a result of previous dispute between them.

As per Pardeshipura police, a few hours before this incident, two listed miscreants of Pardeshipura police station area— Rohit and Mangal— approached one Umesh of Kulkarni ka Bhatta while he was returning home after meeting his friend Lokesh. The police said the miscreant duo allegedly demanded money from Umesh for consuming alcohol. But when Umesh refused to give money, the duo allegedly attacked him with a knife and fled the scene.

Meanwhile, another similar incident took place in the same locality. The police said that the victim was identified as Lokesh. The police said Lokesh in his statements said that he was sitting outside his house after dinner when Shankar and Gopal of the same locality approached him and demanded money to buy alcohol. When Lokesh refused to pay, they allegedly attacked him with a knife and fled the scene. A case has been registered and further investigations in the matter are on.

Sources revealed that the crime rate is increasing in the area and several youths are roaming armed on the streets. Also, the night patrolling of the police is not regular in the area leading to rise in crimes, claimed sources. Meanwhile, the police are trying to trace link between these three incidents.

Students injured

Students of Pharmacy were thrashed and knife attacked on neck injuring him severely by two unidentified miscreants on Sunday late night in Bhawarkuan police station area and fled the scene. Police registered a case and launched further investigations in the matter. According to Bhawarkuan police, the incident took place on Sunday at 1:10am when the victims—Bhupendra, Vikrant Singh and others were on their way to study at their friend’s place. The police said that the miscreants initially stopped Bhupendra and tried to loot him.

On this, Bhupendra called Vikrant, who came to his rescue with another friend. The miscreant duo attacked Vikrant with knife and injured him severely on neck and fled the scene.

Later, a critically injured Vikrant was taken to a private hospital. The police registered a case and launched investigations into the matter.
