Amethi: A shocking incident has emerged from Amethi, where a young man was brutally beaten up after being tied to a tree by some local miscreants. The disturbing video of the incident went viral on social media, drawing prompt action by the police.
According to reports, the young man had visited a house in Katra village when he was allegedly found in an objectionable condition. Enraged family members and villagers took matters into their own hands, assaulting him in public. A large number of villagers were present at the scene as the incident unfolded.
The incident reportedly took place near the Bhale Sultan Shaheed Memorial Police Station.

As soon as the video gained traction online, the Bhale Sultan police swiftly intervened and took both parties into custody. The station in-charge Tanuj Pal, confirmed that legal proceedings have begun in the case.
Responding to the viral video, the Amethi Police also took to X (formerly Twitter) on March 11 and wrote, "In connection with this matter, necessary legal action is being taken by registering a case under relevant sections at Bhale Sultan Shaheed Smarak Police Station."
