Who Was Romil Vohra? 22-Year-Old Gangster Killed In Encounter With Haryana Police

Wanted criminal Romil Vohra was killed in an encounter at the Delhi-Haryana border in the early hours of Tuesday. He was wanted in several other cases also. According to reports, the special task force of the Haryana Police cordoned of the area after it received information about the presence of Vohra at the Delhi-Haryana border.

Sonipat: In a major breakthrough for Delhi Police, a wanted criminal, Romil Vohra, was killed in an encounter at the Delhi-Haryana border in the early hours of Tuesday. The encounter was carried out by the Delhi Police Special Cell. Two police personnel were also injured in the gunfight.

Vohra had allegedly killed a liquor businessman, Shantanu in Yamunanagar (Haryana) a few days back. He was wanted in several other cases also. According to reports, the special task force of the Haryana Police received information about the presence of Vohra at the Delhi-Haryana border.

The police cordoned off the entire area. The encounter started after Vohra fired on the cops. In retaliation, the criminal got injured. He was rushed to a hospital. However, he was declared dead, reported Dainik Bhaskar.

Who Was Romil Vohra?

Vohra was an active shooter of the infamous Kala Rana-Noni Rana gang, the Delhi Police said. He was a resident of Ashok Nagar Colony in Yamunanagar. He was active in Haryana and surrounding areas. He was the prime accused in the Shantanu murder case.

Vohra was also allegedly involved in numerous other cases, including, murder, theft and extortion. He had a bounty of Rs two lakh on his head. In eight months, Vohra allegedly murdered four people, said police as reported by Dainik Bhaskar. He was just 22 years old.

He was also involved in the 2024 triple murder case in Yamunanagar. Vohra allegedly killed Virendra Rana, cousin of BJP leader Narendra Rana, Arjun Rana, a liquor contractor and Pankaj Malik.
