Who is most popular Union Minister? Who is best performing CM? Who is number one choice as next PM? Deets inside

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is the most popular minister in PM Narendra Modi's Cabinet, suggests the India Today-Karvy Insights Ltd Mood of the Nation (MOTN) poll.

According to the poll, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is the best performing CM in India and Narendra Modi remains the most popular choice as the next PM of the country.

Most popular minister in PM Modi's Cabinet:

Amit Shah, who became the Home Minister after BJP came back to power in 2019, was instrumental in the abrogation of Article 370 and passing the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). As per the survey, 39 per cent Indians believe Amit Shah is the best performing minister in the Modi cabinet.

Rajnath Singh - 17 per cent

Nitin Gadkari - 10 per cent

Nirmala Sitharaman - 9 per cent

Ravi Shankar Prasad - 3 per cent

Dharmendra Pradhan - 2 per cent

Piyush Goyal - 2 per cent

Smriti Irani - 2 per cent

Ram Vilas Paswan - 1 per cent

S. Jaishankar - 1 per cent

Best performing Chief Minister in India:

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath secured 24 per cent votes in the survey, becoming 'the best CM' for the third time in a row. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal ranked second.

Jagan Reddy (AP) - 11 per cent

Mamata Banerjee (WB) - 9 per cent

Nitish Kumar (Bihar) - 7 per cent

Naveen Patnaik (Odisha) - 6 per cent

K. Chandrashekar Rao (Telangana) - 3 per cent

Ashok Gehlot (Rajasthan) - 2 per cent

BS Yediyurappa (Karnataka) - 2 per cent

Bhupesh Baghel (Chhattisgarh) - 2 per cent

Shivraj Chouhan (Madhya Pradesh) - 2 per cent

Number one choice as next Prime Minister:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi remains the most popular choice as the next PM of the country with 66 per cent votes. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was the second choice with a mere 8 per cent votes.
