Kolkata: A day after former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Dilip Ghosh loses his temper amid protest by women, Trinamool Congress (TMC) on Saturday had staged an agitation outside Ghosh’s house. The local TMC leaders mentioned that just to be in the ‘headlines’ Ghosh had bad mouthed the women.
“He has lost the Lok Sabha elections and just to be in the news he does not even get any priority inside his party. It’s useless talking about him,” said TMC MP Sougata Roy. Meanwhile, Ghosh threatens to beat people up if they play ‘cheap’ politics with him.
“I haven’t lost control over my temper but have said everything in full consciousness. If needed will size up anyone who will play cheap politics with me. I don’t eat or use anyone’s father’s money. As a Parliamentarian I have used the funds for the road. TMC councilor Pradip Sarkar didn’t do anything. TMC just wanted to create chaos so they have ignited a few women against me,” said Ghosh.
Notably, on Friday Ghosh who is known for his controversial remarks, on Friday loses his temper while people especially women agitated in front of him at his former constituency Kharagpur and said ‘TMC’s dogs are barking as they are happy with Rs 500 given under Lakshmir Bhandar scheme’. He was also heard saying ‘Don’t scream or else I will choke you’ to a woman.
The incident took place at ward No. 6 of Kharagpur where Ghosh was the former MP.
