Kolkata, June 7: Infighting between the West Bengal Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was once again seen on Wednesday as after tendering the resignation from the post of West Bengal BJP Youth wing president, Saumitra Khan took to social media and without naming anyone had slammed the Leader of Opposition (LoP) Suvendu Adhikari and West Bengal BJP Chief Dilip Ghosh.
“The one who have become the Leader of Opposition is misguiding the central leaders and is trying to run BJP in his own way. He is visiting Delhi frequently and is just trying to portray himself. Ahead of the polls he made the scam tainted people from TMC join the BJP which tainted the image of the party,” said Saumitra.
Taking further potshots, the Bishnupur BJP MP said that the Leader of Opposition is pretending that he had sacrificed everything for the saffron camp and is making the central leaders feel that the rest of the leaders are not doing anything for the party.
“We all have sacrificed several things to make BJP win. Once he tried to show that he is a big-shot in TMC and now he is trying to replicate the same in BJP. Though I have some personal issues for which I am resigning from youth wing president but will continue with the BJP,” stated Saumitra.
Slamming BJP Chief Dilip Ghosh, Saumitra calimed that Ghosh sometimes fail to understand things.
Reacting to Saumitra’s criticism, Dilip Ghosh said that if Saumitra wasn’t happy then he would have said things within the party maintaining the protocols.
“If he had issues he should have said things in the party. Depending on credentials, the BJP gives power to its leaders,” mentioned Ghosh.
Notably, according to several poll analysts Saumitra was eyeing a place in cabinet but failing to get the same had resigned from the post of youth wing president.
Calling Saumitra as his brother, Suvendu said he didn’t take the reaction seriously.
“Whenever I am in Delhi I visit his place. In 2011 Assembly polls I have campaigned for Saumitra. Whatever he says doesn’t affect me and on the contrary I pray for his well-being,” mentioned Suvendu.
Meanwhile, once again taking to social media BJP leader Rajib Banerjee slammed Suvendu for criticizing Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee who has achieved landslide victory of 213 seats and also stated that LoP should try to curb the prices of petroleum products to relief the general public.
