Mandsaur: A horrifying road accident unfolded in Madhya Pradesh's Mandsaur on Thursday evening (June 20) when a speeding truck rear-ended a car changing lanes and dragged it for over 100 metres. The incident, which took place on the Mhow-Neemuch highway near Bhavgarh Fante, was caught on CCTV and has since gone viral on the internet.

According to reports, both passengers inside the car escaped the accident unharmed. Have a look at the video here:

The footage shows the speeding truck that crashed into a Centro car while it was changing lanes. Unable to brake in time, the truck continued dragging the car along the highway for a significant distance. The accident took place under the jurisdiction of the Daloda police station.

The car, bearing a Rajasthan registration number (RJ 30 CA 0659), was being driven by Shyam Sundar Lohar, a resident of Nathdwara, Rajasthan. He was returning from a work trip to Ratlam with a friend when the collision happened. Despite the severe impact and significant damage to the vehicle, both occupants walked away safely.

Truck Driver Apologises, Case Settled Amicably

Daloda police station in-charge Manoj Garg confirmed to Dainik Bhasker that both parties were called for questioning following the incident. “A mutual settlement has been reached between the car driver and the truck driver,” he told the publication.

Speaking to Bhaskar, Shyam Sundar said, “I work in tile marketing and was returning to Nathdwara from Ratlam when the truck hit our car. The driver apologised, and we decided not to file a complaint.” The truck, registered in Rajasthan (RJ 09 GE 1115), was reportedly travelling at high speed when the accident occurred.
