Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh), March 19: In a shocking incident, a man was shot by his neighbour for not inviting him for his son's wedding in Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad. As per reports, a family living on rent was preparing for the wedding of their son in Ghaziabad and the father was distributing wedding invitation cards across the city.
However, he intentionally skipped one house of his neighbour. The neighbour got furious over not getting the invitation for the wedding, after which he stormed the house in anger during the Haldi ceremony and shot the groom's father at the event.
As per reports, the incident occurred at Asra 2 Society which falls under the Tronica Police Station area. The police reached the spot on receiving the information of firing at the Haldi ceremony. On reaching the spot, the police found that the neighbour identified as Vansh fired at the house of Sonu after getting enraged over the wedding invitation.
The police said that Sonu suffered injuries to his left arm after being shot by his neighbour Vansh, who was accompanied by his friend Tarun. Sonu was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where he is receiving treatment for his injuries.
The police registered an FIR in connection with the matter and initiated an inquiry into the matter. They have also formed a team and started a search operation to nab the accused Vansh.
Sonu's son narrated the ordeal on camera and said that his wedding is scheduled on March 22. During the Haldi ceremony, Vansh arrived intoxicated and upset over not being invited to the wedding. He further said that a heated argument broke out after which he suddenly pulled out a gun and started firing. He also alleged that Vansh also had around 10-12 people with him who then attacked the women present during the ceremony.
