Agra: Three friends sustained severe injuries after falling 20 feet onto the road from the Ambedkar Bridge in Agra late Thursday night. One of them, Raj, succumbed to his injuries, while the other two, Sahil and Rohit, remain in critical condition.

The incident occurred around midnight when the trio was returning on a single bike from a birthday party in Kachhpura. Raj was driving the bike. As they descended the curved section of the Ambedkar Bridge towards Chhatta, their bike reportedly lost balance, scraped against the bridge's damaged side railing (weakened by a recent storm), and all three were thrown off, landing head-first on the road below.

Passersby, hearing their cries, rushed to the scene and informed the police. The injured were immediately transported to S.N. Medical College, where Raj was declared dead. His family later took his body without a post-mortem and performed the last rites on Friday morning. Raj, who was studying at Agra College, was set to turn 19 on July 17. Police are currently investigating the incident.
