Lucknow: There is no shortage of fertilizers for farmers in Uttar Pradesh. The state has a sufficient quantity of urea, DAP, and NPK fertilizers available. Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi stated that the state has more fertilizers available this year compared to the previous year. Farmers in the state are purchasing fertilizers daily from cooperative and private sectors. Urea, DAP, and NPK fertilizers are being bought by farmers.
The cooperative sector has 114134 metric tons of urea available at retail outlets and 192745 metric tons available in district warehouses. Additionally, 1145690 metric tons of urea are available in the private sector, making a total of 1425569 metric tons of urea available across the state.
Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi appealed to farmers to purchase fertilizers according to their crop requirements and not to stockpile them. He assured that the government is continuously working to ensure fertilizer availability.

Urea: 28.56 lakh metric tons available, with 14.31 lakh metric tons remaining for distribution.
DAP: 5.83 lakh metric tons available, with 2.67 lakh metric tons remaining for distribution.
NPK: 4.26 lakh metric tons available, with 2.89 lakh metric tons remaining for distribution.
